If you have a lot of customized settings that you’d like to bring with you to Scrivener 3, you can save them to a file to transfer. There are plenty of new options in Scrivener 3, but those that match up will be set accordingly. Here’s how to transfer your preferences.
Saving Scrivener 2 Preferences
1. Open any project (or create one) in Scrivener 2.
2. Go to Scrivener>Preferences.
3. Click the Manage button in the bottom left corner of the window.
4. Choose Save All Preferences.
5. Provide a name and location—remember them!—and click Save.
Importing Scrivener 2 Preferences to Scrivener 3
1. Open Scrivener 3.
2. Go to Scrivener>Preferences.
3. Click the Manage button in the bottom left corner of the window.
4. Choose Load All Preferences and select the file you saved in Step 5 above.
5. Click Open. Your settings are updated.
